Commercial Babcock has been building custom truck bodies in Canada for the Canadian and U.S. markets since 1956. Commercial Truck Bodies has long been known in the food industry building refrigerated truck bodies for various manufacturers, suppliers and transporters including dairies, meat packers, food processors and major refrigerated fleets. The acquisition of Babcock Motor Bodies in 1985 introduced the company to new markets and has led to substantial growth in the truck body industry.

Building on our roots in the food business, we have become the largest manufacturer of refrigerated truck bodies in Canada. Our continued success in this area stems from new processes and developments in the application of polyurethane foam insulation. "Poured Foam" involves insulating an already-assembled truck body in a continuous process with no thermal breaks between floor, walls and roof. This is unique to the industry and provides superior insulation and thermal efficiency to help protect your valuable cargo and refrigeration equipment.

In addition to our refrigerated body line, recent major investments in plant and equipment have allowed us to expand our dry-freight and specialty body business leading us to become one of the largest and most versatile truck body manufacturers in Canada. With all manufacturing done in-house, we can custom-build virtually any style of truck body to suit any of your transport requirements.
